๐ฅ Watch: How to sign your title
โ๏ธ Signature Tips
Review name(s) on front of title
The name(s) used to sign the title must exactly match the name(s) shown on the title. For instance, if the title has John Jacob Doe Jr listed, include your middle name and suffix.
If you have changed your name since the title was issued, print and sign using the name displayed on the title.
Confirm if multiple owners are listed
If multiple owners are listed on the title, all must print and sign their names. However, if the names are separated only by 'OR', only one ownerโs signature is required.
The person(s) named on the front of the title must follow these steps:
Sign the back of the title where it reads "Seller Signature."
Print name(s) on the back of the title where it reads "Seller's Hand Printed Name."
Buyer section
Leave this blank, as we will fill that out when processing your title.
๐ซ Prevent voiding your title
Use black or blue pen, only
Don't use a highlighter or white-out
No strikethroughs, write-overs, scribbles, or tears
Do not sign in the Dealer Reassignment section, unless you're an authorized dealer
**If your title design varies from the image shown below, review your title carefully before proceeding. While the signature and printed name fields may be in a different location, you will still need to print and sign your name in the appropriate areas.**
๐ฆ Lien or financial institution on the title
If there's a lien listed on the title, it must either be released on the title or accompanied by a separate lien release letter.
๐ Obtaining a duplicate title
Should an issue arise with your title, follow these steps to obtain a duplicate title.
