Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in Tennessee

The registered owner of the vehicle must follow these steps:

1. Download and fill out the Tennessee Duplicate Title Application. 

2. You can do one of the following options:

Bring the application to the your Local County Clerk.

Time frame to get the title: Same day
Cost to obtain: $11

Mail the application to your your Local County Clerk.

Time frame to get the title: 3-4 weeks
Cost to obtain: $11

​Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside of Tennessee
​
The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled in.
