Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in Indiana

The registered owner of the vehicle must follow these steps:

1. Download and fill out the Indiana Application for Certificate of Title for A Vehicle - State Form 205.

2. You can do one of the following options:

Bring the application to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

Time frame to get the title: 2 weeks
Cost to obtain: $15
​
​ 
Mail the application to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

Time frame to get the title: 2 weeks
Cost to obtain: $15

​Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside of Indiana.
​
The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled in.
