Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in Delaware

The registered owner of the vehicle must follow these steps:

1. Download and fill out the Delaware Duplicate Title Application.

2. You can do one of the following options:

Bring the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.
​ 
Time Frame to get the title: Same day
Cost to obtain: $50
​ 
Mail the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Time Frame to get the title: 4 weeks
Cost to obtain: $50

​Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside of Delaware
​
The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled in.
