Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in Wisconsin

The registered owner of the vehicle must follow these steps:

1. Download and fill out the Wisconsin Duplicate Title Application. 

2. You can do one of the following options:

Bring the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.
​
Time frame to get the title: Same day
Cost to obtain: $20 + $5 with credit card
​
Mail the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.
​
Time frame to get the title: 6 weeks
Cost to obtain: $20 + $5 with credit card

​Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside of Wisconsin
​
The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled in.
