What do I need to do with my plates?

You should remove your plates. You can transfer them to a new vehicle by completing the relevant sections of the Motor Vehicle Registration, Tax and Title Application.

​Is there anything else I need to do?

You may need to notify the DMV that you sold your vehicle in order to complete the transfer process.
