Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in New Hampshire


Obtaining a duplicate title for a vehicle model year 2000 or newer

   
The registered owner of the vehicle must follow these steps:

1. Download and fill out the application for New Hampshire Duplicate Certificate of Title

2. You can do one of the following options:


Bring the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles 

OR

Mail the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles
 

Department of Safety
Division of Motor Vehicles
Title
23 Hazen Drive
Concord, NH 03305

Time frame to get the title: 3 to 5 business days
Cost to obtain: $25

 
Obtaining a duplicate title for a vehicle model year 1999 or older


Vehicles that are older than model year 1999 are not titled, therefore the The DMV's Bureau of Title and Anti-Theft administers all title applications for proper transfer of ownership, recording of liens and to check for federal odometer requirements.


Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside New Hampshire

The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled in.
