What do I need to do with my plates?
License plates can be removed and either transferred to a new vehicle, turned over to the DMV, or disposed of.
Is there anything else I need to do?
You may need to notify the DMV that you sold your vehicle in order to complete the transfer process.
You may be eligible for a refund on registration fees if applied for within 60 days of sale.
