What do I need to do with my plates?
Remove your plates and either transfer them to a new vehicle or turn them in to your county treasurer's office.
Is there anything else I need to do?
You should complete and file a Notice of Sale of Vehicle and Delivery of Title form to notify the DMV that you sold your vehicle in order to complete the transfer process.
If you do not purchase a new vehicle, you may be eligible for a refund for unused registration fees.
