What do I need to do with my plates?

You can keep your license plates and either recycle them or call your local County Office to cancel them or transfer them to another vehicle.

​Is there anything else I need to do?

You can voluntarily notify the DMV that you have sold the vehicle within 5 days of transfer of ownership, but it is not required.
