We typically recommend that you allow your buyer to complete the buyer information themselves to avoid errors that may void your title, but some notaries may require the information. We recommend reaching out to your buyer to confirm their information before you visit the notary to prevent issues.

When notarizing your title, the buyer does not need to be present; the notary signing agent is solely interested in verifying your (seller) identity. Make sure to follow all the guidelines in the Title Guide by State and have the title ready when the carrier comes to pick up your car to avoid any delays.
