Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in Nebraska

The registered owner must follow these steps:

1. Download and fill out the Nebraska Duplicate Title Application.

2. You can do one of the following options:

Bring the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.
​
Time frame to get the title: Same day
​Cost to obtain: $14
​
​ 
Mail the application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.
​
Time frame to get the title: 14 days
​Cost to obtain: $14
​
​
​Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside of Nebraska    
​
​
The registered owner must apply for duplicate title through the state it was last titled in.
​
