Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in Mississippi
The registered owner of the vehicle must follow these steps:
1. Download and fill out the Mississippi Duplicate Title Application.
2. You can do one of the following options:
Bring the application to the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Time frame to get the title: 10-14 days from the time the application is received
Cost to obtain: $9
Fast Track titles available for $39 and are issued within 72 hours of the time the application is received.

Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside of Mississippi
The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled in.
