​Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in Hawaii
​
The registered owner of the vehicle must follow these steps:
​ 

1. Download and fill out the Hawaii Duplicate Title Application. 

2. You can do one of the following options:
​
Bring in the Hawaii Duplicate Title Application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.
​
Time frame to get the title: Same day
Cost to obtain: $10
​
Mail in the Hawaii Duplicate Title Application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.
​ 

Time frame to get the title: 1 week
Cost to obtain: $10
​
​Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside of Hawaii
​
The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled in.
