Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled in Alaska

The registered owner of the vehicle must follow these steps:

1. Download, fill out, and notarize the Alaska Affidavit of Lost, Stolen or Destroyed Title.

2. You can do one of the following options:

Bring the Alaska Duplicate Title Application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Time frame to get the title: Same day
Cost to obtain: $15

Mail the Alaska Duplicate Title Application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Time frame to get the title: 1-2 Weeks
Cost to obtain: $15

​Getting a duplicate title when the vehicle was last titled outside of Alaska
​
The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled in.
